Hemp Encrusted Tilapia

Hulled hemp seeds are a great gluten-­free and protein­-packed alternative for breadings!


4 x 6 oz tilapia filets (or other white fish)
1 Lime
1 Lemon
2 1⁄2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp celery salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp hot sauce (or to taste)
1 1⁄2 tbsp chopped scallions
1 tbsp water
2 tsp honey
1 cup Just Hemp Foods Hulled Hemp Seeds
1 egg (beaten)


Cut the lime and lemon in half and squeeze juice into a small bowl. Add olive oil, celery salt, salt, black pepper, hot sauce, chopped scallions, water, honey and whisk together. Place fish and marinade into bag and let marinate for at least 15 minutes. Beat one egg in bowl, dip the fish in the egg and then transfer to plate with hulled hemp seeds to coat. Add some olive oil to a medium sized pan and heat. Once the pan is hot, place the fillets into the pan and turn the heat down to medium temperature, cooking the fillets for about 4 minutes on each side.
